About Us

Committed to making a positive impact.

We are committed to making a positive and socially responsible impact on individuals and communities across the UK and Internationally. Our mission is centred around general charitable purposes, with a particular focus on advancing education and training, promoting health and saving lives, and preventing or relieving poverty.

We support children, young people, and the wider public, aiming to create a brighter future for all. In alignment with strong governance practices and our commitment to social responsibility, we provide grants to individuals and organisations, offer financial assistance, and deliver essential facilities and open spaces to those who need them most.

We are dedicated to improving lives and driving positive, long-term change.

Operating throughout the UK and Internationally, we aim to make a tangible difference—one life at a time—guided by accountability, integrity, and a lasting sense of social purpose.

The Story So Far

The Malhotra Family Foundation will build on the historic philanthropic work of its founder, and have plans to make donations totalling several million pounds in the coming years locally, nationally and internationally. The Foundation is already contracted to open its first community charitable centre in Northumberland.

The Foundation will be based at India House at Parrish Buildings, Shields Road, Newcastle.

The Malhotra family has a long history of supporting charitable causes, and its founder, Meenu Malhotra, was appointed a Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland in 2021 in recognition of his charitable giving. Previously Mr Malhotra has funded pioneering orthopaedic research at the Newcastle University’s Medical School in collaboration with Newcastle Hospitals Foundation Trust, as well as making substantial funding contributions to the building of The Institute of Neurosciences of West Bengal ‘Kolkata Hospital Charity Appeal’. The Kolkata hospital opened in 2014 offering half of its beds free of charge to the people of West Bengal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.
